We will be having an all-you- can eat Barbecue Ribfest with Baked Beans, Potato Salad, & Cornbread for $10.95 Sunday and Monday, July 4 & 5 from 11 a.m. to close.

For the months of July & August, our Shrimp & Oyster and Chicken Nights will be on hiatus 1043 due to everyone staying busy with vacations, etc. But we’ll bring them back this fall along with a special wine dinner! Champions Tennis Academy at Brentwood Country Club is up and running! Our first Summer Tennis Camp was June 7-11. Call 840-5449 for more Tennis Information.

On the second Fridays of July (9th & 23rd), we offer “Challenge the Pros” from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Tony Buagas & Paul Bayard will be waiting for you! FREE FOR MEMBERS!

Also, on Fridays, July 2nd and 23rd from 7-8:30 p.m., Champions Tennis Clinics teaching proper technique, the secrets of the pros revealed, snacks & music. $5.00 members; $10 non members.

GOLF

The greens have recovered and are in great shape. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Borque and his staff for the extra efforts during this recovery period. They put in lots of work on Mondays and went the extra mile to get the greens back! We have some new strategies to maintain the greens throughout the year and to provide a much more consistent putting surface. Darrell did most of the critical watering during this time; thanks Darrell.

The improvement projects on holes 5 and 13 are in their last phases. Look for completion this summer as well as other course improvements in the near future. The improvements are done to improve the aesthetics as well as to make the course more playable for all skill levels. Terry was very helpful operating the heavy equipment. Thanks, Terry.

Please take time to thank Paul and his staff if you pass them at the Club or on the course. The course has really recovered after a very cold and wet winter as well as a dry and cool spring...all of these factors contributed to the struggling course conditions. Once again, thanks to the maintenance staff for the hard work...it really shows; the course looks fantastic.
